ABOUT HONSA TOOLS

Excessive vibration in power tools has been identified as a contributor to various cumulative trauma disorders. Since the creation of the pneumatic tool in 1890 little has been done to change the dynamic effect and vibration control of many pneumatic tools. These “generic tools”, re-manufactured over time by countless companies have done little to reverse the damaging effects of high vibration generating tools.

However, in 1985, the founders of Honsa Ergonomic Technologies, Inc. Dr. Thomas S. and Thomas W. Honsa began the design of a new vibration and sound isolation system for pneumatic and electric powered tools. Their knowledge of polyurethane elastomers and design engineering created the first in many unique patented vibration and sound reduced products.

As of 2004, Honsa Ergonomic Technologies, Inc. is still the only company in the world to exclusively manufacture vibration reduced pneumatic powered tools. Honsa Tools continues to innovate and create safer vibration and sound reduced pneumatic tools and ergonomically focused products and services

Honsa Tools are used in a wide variety of manufacturing industries. For example, Aerospace, Metal Fabrication, Automotive Assembly, Shipbuilding and repair, Agricultural Equipment, Construction Equipment, Foundries, Engine and Transmission Assembly. In addition, the US Military also uses Honsa Tools to reduce injuries in maintenance, repair and refit applications.

Companies which use Honsa Tools have one thing in common. They have the vision of creating a safer work environment. These companies recognize the importance of reduced injuries and lower worker compensation claims. By focusing on and implementing an ergonomic program which includes 21st century technology they will reduce costs, increase productivity, improve employee relations and foster an environment of long term increased corporate profitability.
